I read the story of the prodigal son thinking about all the father had to endure. I can't imagine giving him the inheritance, asking for it is so deeply disrespectful. But he did and then let him go. Everything the son learned after that was on his own terms- alone in the world and vulnerable. What was the father doing during this time? Worth exploring.

Lord, You know what lies Satan is whispering to my child and which lies my child has foolishly believed. Would you please replace the hedge of protection over my child – drowning out lies and deceptions – and give her space to hear YOUR voice instead? Thank you, Lord, for my salvation and the ability and privilege to pray for others. Gratefully, I heard Your call when I was younger. Now, I ask You to put my daughter in a place where she can hear Your “still small voice” again. Amen!

My heart absolutely breaks for you. I can’t speak to the genuineness of her conversion but I can testify the Lord keeps His own, even if the devil tries ripping their soul apart. I seem to be exiting a difficult 5-year period where I felt abandoned by the Lord and was tempted severely to turn from Christ. But the Lord kept me even when my faith didn’t appear it would survive.

Thank you, Jesus, for keeping Sakari! I'm so thankful you remain my sister in Christ. He is our hope and our salvation. He is our ever-present help in times of trouble. His mercies are new every morning. Thank you for sharing a piece of your story:)
